SignalBack vs GoHighLevel DBR agencies

Database reactivation without hiring an agency to run it

"Database reactivation" (DBR) is commonly sold as an agency service, frequently delivered on GoHighLevel, whose own documentation describes agencies administering client sub-accounts. When it's done well it works — which is part of why we're building SignalBack. What follows are our general observations about the agency delivery model, not claims about GoHighLevel or any particular agency using it.

Who does the workA service business you hire and manage, so results depend on the individual operator you pickSoftware runs the sequence and drafts replies; you approve the sensitive ones (early access)
Compliance responsibilityGeneral observation: under CAN-SPAM the FTC says both the company being promoted and the sender can be legally responsible — so ask any vendor how they handle consent, opt-outs, and A2P registrationWe're designing list hygiene, ramp-up, opt-out propagation, and A2P registration into the sending path as defaults. Sending is not live yet

How we think about the agency delivery model

To be clear about what this section is: general observations about buying reactivation as a service, based on how the model is structured. It is not an assessment of GoHighLevel, which is a software platform, or of any specific agency.

The DBR playbook is real — the whole aged-lead industry exists because old contact lists have value worth re-engaging. Buying it as a service does mean three things are worth diligence: outcomes track the individual operator you hire, compliance obligations don't transfer away from you (the FTC's CAN-SPAM guidance is explicit that both the promoted company and the sender can be held responsible, and TCPA and carrier A2P rules apply to SMS), and the party reporting your results is usually also the party invoicing you.

We're productizing the same playbook with those three points in mind: sequences and reply handling as software with human approval gates, compliance rails on by default, and billing tied to bookings that verifiably appeared in your CRM. Sending infrastructure, CRM integrations, and metered billing are still being built — today the only thing you can actually run is the free audit.

FAQ

I'm an agency — can I use SignalBack for my clients?+

We're focused on direct self-serve for now. If you run reactivation for home-service clients and want to talk, email us — operator feedback is genuinely useful.

Is this page fair to agencies and to GoHighLevel?+

It's our own comparison and we compete with agency-delivered reactivation, so treat it as an interested party's view. We've kept the criticism to the structure of buying reactivation as a service — the parts any buyer can check for themselves — rather than claims about GoHighLevel's software or about any named agency's conduct.
