Templates/3 emails over 12 days

Reopening the conversation with customers you haven't seen in years

A past customer is a warmer contact than a cold one, but a prior transaction is not consent to be marketed to indefinitely, and email eligibility isn't the same as a service relationship. The tone here is a neighborly check-in rather than a promotion, and the last touch asks directly whether to stop.

Audience: Past customers with no job in 18+ months, any trade

Day 0

Been a while — how's everything holding up?

Hi {{first_name}} — we did the {{job_type}} for you back in {{month}}, and I noticed we haven't been out since. Mostly I'm curious whether it's all still behaving. If something around the place has been on your list, this is an easy time of year to get it looked at. — {{rep_name}}, {{company}} {{company_address}} · {{unsubscribe}}

Day 5

We keep a few slots for people we've worked with

{{first_name}} — no pitch here, just an offer. We hold back a couple of appointments each week for customers we've worked with before, which means you don't sit behind the new-call queue. If there's something small you've been putting off, that's the sort of thing those slots are for. Reply with what it is and I'll fit it in. — {{rep_name}}, {{company}} {{company_address}} · {{unsubscribe}}

Day 12

Should I take you off this list?

{{first_name}}, I'd rather ask than keep guessing. If we're not the right call anymore or you'd simply rather not hear from us, use the unsubscribe link below or reply "stop" and I'll take care of it — no hard feelings either way. If you'd like us to stay in your contacts, this thread is all you need; reply any time and we'll find a slot. — {{rep_name}}, {{company}} {{company_address}} · {{unsubscribe}}

{{placeholders}} — swap in the lead's details, or let campaigns fill them automatically.

When they reply, the sequence stops and the conversation starts

Actually yeah — it's been making a weird noise lately.

Glad you mentioned it — noises that are new are usually cheaper to chase than noises you've learned to live with. Before we come out, two things that help me bring the right parts: roughly when it started, and whether it's constant or only on startup. I've got {{window_1}} and {{window_2}} open. Which suits you better?

Before you send this

Commercial email must identify the sender, carry a valid physical postal address, and offer a working opt-out that is honored promptly (CAN-SPAM). The sending system appends {{company_address}} and {{unsubscribe}} to every touch and stops the sequence on any opt-out or reply; the placeholders are written into the copy above so a hand-copied template still ships compliant. Dormant lists carry extra risk: verify each address is still a valid, opted-in contact before sending, suppress anyone who previously opted out, and treat a non-response across the full sequence as a signal to stop rather than to restart.
